Currently the server costs a mere $15 a month to run. I currently have 9 donors ($45 a month) and have no desire to pocket the money. A few things can happen next. I can either upgrade the server ram and double the player limit to 30. Or I can purchase a second server to run another game type, or simply a second map. The final decision is obviously up to me but I won't make a decision until I get feedback from all of you and certainly not for a few weeks until I have a better idea of how many donors are interested in staying a donor. I can also use some of the money towards purchasing a domain name and additional server to run a full fledged forum. Rapture is in its baby steps but I would like to know where you all want us to go. Please post your opinions below.

completly agree with Nbord, doesnt make sense to increase to 30 when i think there was one 1 instance when more than 20 people came to play on rapture

Currently the server is "able" to handle 20 players. I kept that down to 15 to decrease lag. With an upgraded server, ram is doubled, the player limit could be doubled too.

In my humble opinion, I'd like the server to be upgraded. Not to get the higher player limit- but to possibly extend the size of the map. A dedicated server for a forum sounds nice though...
Unless I suddenly get bombarded with Year 12 work, I intend to continue donating at least for a few more months, so you can count on my money :P

I would absolutely say upgrade the server. More RAM would be great. Also, maybe look into getting a ventrillo server or something like that.

+1 for the ventrillo idea. That would make it so much easier to communicate with each other instead of the chat in game.
Also +1 to upgrading the server RAM. I would love having an even less laggy server, (even if it isnt bad now). Ps less lag will make spleef more playable and I love spleef
